Railways workers seek action against corrupt officials

Lahore—Rail Mazdoor Ittehad Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Anwar has demanded the government to award exemplary punishment to corrupt officials of Pakistan Railways who were involved in heinous crime of eating up billion of rupees in the name of overhauling of 36 locomotives and supplying contaminated diesel that ruined over 95 locomotives. He expressed these views while talking to media men at union office here.
Sheikh Anwar said that not only corrupt officials of PR have ruined locomotives because of their sheer negligence but spare parts of points crossing worth over Rs 250 million are lying useless in stores as these parts have been purchased just for the sake of kick-backs. Continued
